17th Annual

Moose Festival

Colebrook, Pittsburg and Columbia N.H. & Canaan Vt.

An absolute beautiful week-end was had by all who attended the 17th Annual Moose Festival. Only in New Hampshire can we have an almost constant rainy summer in Southern New Hampshire and 90 degree weather in the North Country close to Canada.

A Street Fair and Mock Moose Parade and Auto Cruise down Main St. in Colebrook started the Moose Festival on Friday. Saturday in Canaan Vt. brought us a breakfast at the High School before the Classic Car Show. Saturday night it was off to Moose Alley in Pittsburg in hopes of a glimpse of a moose or two. Sunday it was time for Blessing of the Autos in Columbia.

A little break on the way to The Moose Festival.

There are nice rustic cabins all over Pittsburg.

A few of us called this one home for the Moose festival.

No, I didn't sit on the porch whittling. I had no knife.

Wooded path from the cabin leads to The Connecticut River.

Very strong currents.

The streets of Colebrook N.H. were lined with parade vehicles.

This group is ready for a great week-end.

Main St. Colebrook is closed for the Moose Festival.

Thousands enjoyed the many venders.

Truckers bringing logs to Canada may not have been too happy.

Huge Chicken Barbeque was enjoyed by many.

Looks like John-Boy is picking up supplies at Godsie's Store.

Can you ticket him for parking on the wrong side of the street?

The Rakers of New Hampshire get ready to mount up.
